Let GG be a semigroup and let SS be a subset of GG. The centralizer of SS is CG(S)={gGgs=sg for all sS}.C_G(S) = \{g\in G\mid gs=sg \text{ for all } s\in S\}. When GG is a group, we can also say CG(S)={gGgsg1=s for all sS}.C_G(S) = \{g\in G\mid gsg^{-1} =s \text{ for all } s\in S\}.
